Smart Classrooms
Classrooms that Do More
UCR has 83 General Assignment classrooms that can be classified as Smart Classrooms. These teaching facilities feature a broad range of presentation equipment, (DVD and SVHS players, high-end LCD projectors with XGA resolution and 4000-7000 lumens), as well as internet access. In addition, larger lecture halls contain wireless microphone systems, computers, digital document cameras and audience response receivers (clickers)! Faculty in all GA classrooms are supported by Just-In-Time electronic and phone support. All general assignment classrooms are equipped with an Internet PC.
UCR Smart Classrooms just got smarter
Several classrooms in Surge were converted to Smart rooms with additional features. These “Flex” rooms have whiteboards on every wall, dual projection systems with independent displays and movable furniture. The rooms can be configured to meet individual faculty needs and teaching styles. For more information please read about our Flex Classrooms.
